Lignotrophic Basidiomycetes from Pioneering Microsites in Boreal Forests of the Russian European North

Observations of lignotrophic basidiomycetes in chronically pioneering microsites in boreal forests of White Sea Region (North European Russia) reveal some causal and sporadically distributed species, namely Niemelaea consobrina, Hyphoderma roseocremeum, Peniophora junipericola, Thelephora caryophyllea, Xanthoporus syringae. The morphology, substrate preferences and the distribution of the species revealed are discussed in the connection with community characteristics.
