Author reinstated the valid name of Pseudoptilinus bernhaueri (Reitter, 1916) bona sp. The latter differs from P. fissicollis (Reitter, 1877) by sizes of antennal segments, form of pronotum, punctures in striae, pubescence on elytra. The fact is confirmed that the genus Pseudoptilinus belongs to subfamily Xyletininae.
